The Coexe Scholars Program
At Coexe, we believe not only in empowering expatriate educators but also in helping them empower their most important students—their own children.
For this reason, we established the Coexe Scholars Program—a scholarship initiative explicitly designed to support the children of international school teachers. This program provides financial assistance to help our members’ children pursue educational opportunities beyond high school.
Award Amount: Up to $10,000
Eligibility: Grade 12 (Senior) children of Coexe members in good standing as of August 1st during the year of award.
Current Cycle Application Deadline: February 28th, 2026 (Funds to be distributed the following school year).
Renewability: Scholarship awards are one-time grants.
To be considered for the Coexe Merit-Based Scholarship, applicants must:
Be a dependent child of a Coexe member who is in good standing as of August 1st during the year of award.
Be planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Demonstrate academic competence, leadership and/or leadership potential, and outstanding personal characteristics.
Scholarships will be awarded based on:
Leadership & Extracurricular Involvement – Participation in student government, clubs, sports, community service, or volunteer work.
Academic Achievement – There is no minimum GPA requirement, however GPA will be considered as part of the overall merit of the application.
Personal Essay – An essay that is between 500 and 1000 words on one of the following topics:
“How has your international upbringing shaped your identity and worldview in a way that makes you uniquely qualified to tackle future problems?”
“Describe a meaningful service project or cultural experience you have participated in as a student at an international school, and how it has impacted you.”
“What lessons have you learned from being raised by an educator, and how has it influenced your approach to learning?”
“Moving frequently as the child of an international school teacher can be both rewarding and challenging. Describe a time when you faced a challenge due to your transient lifestyle and how you overcame it.”
Letters of Recommendation – Two letters from teachers, mentors, or community leaders attesting to the applicant’s character and achievements. Letter writers must include their phone number and email addresses as contact information.

Deadline & Submission
Applications must be submitted not later than12:00pm (noon), GMT on the specified deadline.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Review & Selection
Applications are reviewed by an independent scholarship committee.
Finalists may be contacted for additional information or an interview.
Award Announcement
Recipients will be notified by email.
Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient’s institution.
