The Coexe Indexes
The Coexe Indexes
Beyond the Rants: Proactive Data. Professional Standards. Real People. Trusted Insights.
Proactively collected and professionally grounded, the Coexe Indexes are built on trusted frameworks like PSEL, IB, and WASC—yet uniquely designed to reflect the lived realities of educators working abroad. They target the factors that most impact educator experience, balancing rigor, fairness, and comprehensive insight into international school leadership and workplace conditions.
Your Experience Matters—Contribute Today!
If you’re an educator working in an international school, you’re invited to contribute to the Coexe Index surveys once per year—no membership required. Whether you’re reflecting on your overall experience or evaluating school leadership, your feedback helps build a fair, balanced, and standards-aligned picture of international schools—recognizing the world’s top educational leaders, informing prospective educators, and supporting meaningful improvement across the global teaching community.
The Coexe Index of Education Leadership™ (CIEL) is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of school leaders—Heads of School, Principals, Assistant Heads, and other administrators—through the eyes of the educators they lead. This instrument focuses on leadership behaviors that most impact faculty experience, school culture, and student outcomes. Grounded in globally recognized standards such as the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL), the International Baccalaureate (IB) leadership capabilities, and WASC accreditation criteria, the prompts emphasize observable actions over abstract ideals. The Index helps surface not just whether a leader is well-liked, but whether they lead with integrity, clarity, fairness, and professional competence.
Educational leaders rated highest on the Coexe Index for Educational Leadership are recognized as Coexe Select™ Leaders—highlighting the most trusted and respected administrators in international schools worldwide.
Choose the Standard Form if you’d like to provide a more detailed and nuanced evaluation of an educational leader—ideal for those who want their professional insights reflected across key dimensions of leadership effectiveness and school impact.
Or choose the Short Form to offer a quicker, lower-resolution overview—still grounded in the same professional standards, but with fewer prompts and less depth.
Coexe Index of Educator Experience™
The Coexe Index of Educator Experience™ (CIEE) captures the realities of working life in international schools—from support with relocation to treatment by leadership, access to resources, and alignment between stated values and lived culture. It aims to illuminate the factors that most impact educator satisfaction, performance, and retention. While informed by established international school quality frameworks—including IB standards, NEASC, and CIS criteria—this instrument extends beyond formal accreditation lenses to address the unique challenges and working conditions of expatriate educators. The focus is not on instruction alone, but on the holistic experience of being a teacher abroad.
Schools rated highest on the Educator Experience Index within their country are recognized as Coexe Select™ Schools—highlighting the most recommended international schools in each national context.
Choose the Standard Form if you’d like to provide a more detailed and nuanced evaluation of your school—ideal for those who want their voice reflected across multiple dimensions of school quality.
Or choose the Short Form to offer a quicker, lower-resolution overview—still grounded in the same professional standards, but with fewer prompts and less depth.
